Diverse Dolls Build Confidence in Children

Play is how kids process their lives and the world around them. It can create the foundation of how kids develop socially. Parents can help their children by intentionally thinking about how to shape that foundation with the toys they choose.

By being more inclusive, diverse toys can help promote representation. Dolls, specifically, can give children a reflection of themselves. According to research, seeing representation and positive depictions of someone who looks like you can help build confidence. Madame Alexander understands this and is proud to offer increased diversity this year in the My First and Huggums line. Each comes in three skin tones and both have added a new lavender outfit option this year.

Madame Alexander Doll Company is committed to advancing diversity and continues to promote inclusiveness in doll play by providing dolls with an accurate representation of the world that we live in.
